Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. The actress was born as the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 and a leading role in several TV dramas. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall her character as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also highly praised. Other Oscar nominated films featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra has been involved in numerous important international and national projects throughout her career. Some of these comprise British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She also served part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
